The challenge

There is a specific moment in product development that produces the most compelling businesses: when the people building a tool are the same people who needed it most, and who worked through every available alternative before concluding none of them were sufficient.

That moment happened for HuslAI inside Kriten's own client work. We were running GEO strategy for clients - working to make their brands more visible in AI-generated answers across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude. The results were real. The process was largely manual. The tools available could not reliably tell us which brands were being cited by AI platforms, how often, in what context, and for which queries. We were building tracking systems by hand, exporting data, reconciling outputs across platforms - every week, for every client.

The gap was clear. We were doing by hand what a well-built product should do automatically.

What made this particularly significant was the nature of the problem itself. AI visibility is not a niche concern. Every brand that relies on search - which is to say, effectively every brand - will eventually need to understand and manage its presence in AI-generated answers. The question is not whether this matters. It is who builds the infrastructure first, and whether it is built by people who understand the problem from the inside. We were those people. And we had the added advantage of already working with clients who needed exactly what we were building - which meant we could validate every product decision against real use before shipping it.

Built the product around what we already knew worked

HuslAI was not designed in a vacuum. Every feature, every workflow, every piece of the product architecture was shaped by what we had already been doing for clients. We knew what questions practitioners needed to answer - which brands are being cited, for which queries, on which platforms, compared to which competitors, and what to do about gaps - because we had been answering those questions by hand for months.

That meant the product requirements were not hypothetical. They were a description of a workflow we had already proven worked, translated into a system that could run it automatically, at scale, without manual effort.

Launched with validated GEO infrastructure

The core tracking infrastructure in HuslAI - the system that queries AI platforms, parses brand mentions, and produces visibility data - was not built speculatively. It was built on top of the GEO methodology we had developed and tested across real client engagements.

By the time HuslAI launched, the methodology had already produced measurable results. The product did not need to prove the approach worked. It only needed to make the approach run automatically. That distinction - between a product validating an idea and a product automating a proven process - is significant. It meant we could launch with confidence rather than hope.

Built the full loop: measurement to action

Visibility data without a path to improvement is a dashboard, not a product. We built HuslAI to close the loop between measurement and action - so that when the platform identifies a gap in a brand's AI visibility, the user has a clear path to addressing it.

The content automation layer does this: it takes the insight from the tracking infrastructure and generates the content inputs - drafts, briefs, structured information - that are most likely to improve AI citations for the specific queries and platforms where the gap exists. Measurement and execution in the same product.

Shipped with production-grade capability from day one

The distinction between a minimum viable product and a production-grade product is significant, particularly in B2B contexts where buyers evaluate reliability and depth before committing. HuslAI launched with full AI visibility coverage across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude - not a partial implementation with more platforms coming - because the infrastructure had already been proven in production on client work.

This meant the product could be positioned not as a beta but as a working system with a track record. The 1,000+ visibility checks the platform has processed are not post-launch experiments. They are evidence of a system that was already working before the product existed.

The outcome

HuslAI is now the infrastructure Kriten's own clients use to track and improve their AI visibility. The platform has processed over 1,000 AI visibility checks. Content workflows that previously took hours are now completed in a fraction of the time. The platform operates live across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude, with the full AI visibility and content loop running automatically.

Why it compounded
